Operation Solomon

The plane touched down
Ethiopians kissed the ground
   The Bible's holy soil
      Land of Israel
      Home at Last!

Many have kissed the soil of Israel upon arrival. There's something special in the air there. Thanks, Andrea.

Gershon, Every so often, I ask.., what have you brought me today. Maybe unfairly, maybe delayed. But you never disappoint. -Richard

Richard, I am pleased beyond measure to know that I never -- or perhaps seldom(?) -- disappoint. Let me reciprocate: Your eloquent comments never disappoint either, my friend. Thank you, thank you, thank you! ~ With gratitude, Gershon

Thanks. It really is heartfelt, as I myself was involved in an early, much smaller operation, in 1977, of the very first 120 Ethiopians who were airlifted to Israel. Maybe a poem about that soon... :) gw
