Opera's In The Forests

When the birds nest Late at night And the moon glows Its brightest white The crickets chirp A tenor chorus Throughout the darkest Pitch-black forests Miles long Their voices heard Wakes the conscious Of the curious bird And so, they tweet To the cricket's song And sing in rhythm All night long

loved the imagery and flow of your poem, Charles. I thought the title was perfect, and I witness that opera sometimes when I'm walking at night. I especially liked 'the crickets song...all night long.' That pictures exactly what happens here. Wonderfully done. Have a great evening, Sara

Thank you so much, Sara. I recently went to a bonfire gathering with about 20 friends, for a few seconds when everyone was quiet staring at the flames, crickets sang from the corn fields. That inspired me to write this :) Have a nice day...Charlie

Love this enchanting poem Charlie and the title too. It flows beautifully with lovely imagery,’ And the moon glows its brightest white’. Also love the sound effects with the crickets chirping and the birds tweeting. Really lovely and a pleasure to read. Thank you. Blessings and smiles :):)

Beautiful Charles. Reminiscent of my poem Mountain Serenade. I love listening to the tree frogs and crickets
