Open Your Heart and Soul

open up your heart as well as your soul
a winged figure about to answer your call
a wish is a wish no matter how big or how small
some things are so wrong yet they feel so right
a restless soul an endless search for light
hitchhiking with my years
a one eyed driver stopped by
I'll take you to the city of wonders
me and my years laughed eye to eye
I rolled up my sleeve
"in my heart runs the city and the capital of the city has no heart"
my tattoo sighed
how can man dream of a home to own
while his own body is for restless souls to rent
sun of noon entered the night came out a moon
the horizon kissed the land and whispered soon
dead ahead there's a river without a bed
the river of tears
broken hearts drowning with broken oars of fears
this is a river no one wants to baptised in
the river winked with a grin
I feel down to my by bones
the rhyme stripped the wisdom off the sublime
the grave to the slave meant freedom
freedom free said the chip in me
