Open Up That Door
He didn't see it coming nor had he never thought about it
But today was numbing, cutting through his happy-go-lucky wit
He's passed by before, but till today he never did go in
But opening up that door, suddenly he felt the weight of his sin
He first noticed a statue of a lady her arms outstretched wide
And to her right a Noble looking man there holding a child
Back and forth his eyes went as tears blurred his sight
Not knowing what it meant just knowing that it was right
Ascending the stairs ahead, the church was unlit and quiet
And as the aisle soon led he choose a middle pew to sit
In seeing all the Glory ahead and all that suffering behind
Discovering things in his head he never even tried to find
Sying a prayer and then saying two, he got up to go outside
Energized, like he was brand new or like something bad had died
In holding that noble guy's hand, and in touching that lady's feet
All those things that he had planned had now taken a back seat
