Open up this moment As you whisper a silent prayer Bring laughter, light and love To the surface, where you can Brighten thoughts With kindness, joy and inspiration That thrive on the gift of Imagination, appreciation Faith in the heart Open up this day As you sing from your soul Happiness and hope and healing Heaven’s breath smiling through The fears, tears and years Bringing reassurance to those Who know the struggles Will, one day, be gone And gems of hope will linger on Playing, with harmony, The warmth of a song Open up this glowing gift Of pleasure and gladness, bliss That comes from giving back to our God A part of the heart, the soul, the love That lifts sorrows and brightens darkness With gentleness and acceptance Feelings of gratitude and thanks That come about when we take a moment To think of the ways we’ve been Blessed, beyond our convictions In spite of our faults and flaws With a love that keeps us Full of life – alive Filled with tenderness and affection Feelings that give our hearts Their direction Open up the heart to give With a freedom that reminds us to live For the One who breathed life Into our lives, our laughter, our love The compassion that fills us with Patience, praise and prayer Open up and feel full of grace

Faith brings so much joy to us, as long as we are willing to "open" our hearts. Only then can we receive the happiness God sends our way. Beautifully penned, Regina! Hugs, carolyn
