Open the Castle Door

Sitting off to myself
She notices, sits across from me
Her smile lures me back
To the world my heart broke for
Hooks me with her glance
Looks as though she wants to talk
Is she interested
I don’t know if I should resist
But I’m scarred, eyes are tired
Should I let you in
And hope you won’t hurt me
Let me see what the Spirit of the Universe
Has to say about this “Open the gate!”
I drop my castle door
Look up and smile back
