Open Our Eyes

Bend down from your perch so high Touch the Earth and open your eyes Choked with concrete and steel Death is a certainty and finality real Overpopulation and destruction rampant Consumption and spoil is a constant Obsession for possession of power While the lowly crouch and cower Repetition to the closed in mind Revelations they will never find The hopelessness of the human condition As they race headlong into perdition Could be reversed by a simple deed If we would but fervently heed Bend down from our perch so high Touch the Earth and open our eyes.
