Notes About The Poem

Open Me First

Beneath the tall and sparkling Christmas Tree,
are presents wrapped and stacked in neat array-
a picture-perfect holiday bouquet,
with graceful boughs outstretching equally.
Yet, here among the gifts, placed centrally,
the largest one stands out in full display-
red satin bow on gold, as if to say,
as your best gift, I'm luring you to me.

And soon, she tiptoes down the spiral stair-
beholds the lovely tree this Christmas morn.
So quick it's seen, held captive by her eyes!
To it, she walks directly- unaware
inside she'll find her treasure, newly born!
The kitten is her secret-wish surprise!

Well done Sandra. I couldnt figure this one out so I took mine out of contest. The instructions were too difficult for me to understand. Best of luck to you.
