Open Eyes To the Light

Has man forgotten how it all began?
Have we become so wrapped within ourselves?
Stop! Breathe! Remember again
that we are but fragile pieces of His picture.
Vanity has become a bed fellow
yet, remains the true enemy of future,
as we turn away from the source of light,
toward our own inner darkness.

Focus not on what we can be in comparison to others.
Aim your searching eyes for the prize in the light.
He is there to take you by the hand
and guide you and all of us to our true home
under the blanket of the stars
within the warmth of the eternal sun.
Has man forgotten how it all began?
I say he knows, but just needs to seek.
