Onomatopoeia

Sipping sangria
I ponder this thing
called onomatopoeia

 Tinkling wind chimes.
The echoing ping-
plates placed one on another

and other such sounds.

The bong of steel bells.
The beep beep beeping-
a phone off its hook.

And I am blessed
to belong to such
melodious sounds.

And I feel
for the ears
of those who can't hear.

Thanks for letting me ponder the sounds we take for granted that deaf ears are unable to experience.
