Only You

My darling, my dear,
When I saw you once —
My blood boiled at once;
My heart was struck like with a spear;
I fell in love that was so clear!
Your wonderful eyes
Are like a calm lake at sunrise;
They charmed me forever not otherwise!
Your image is with me night and day,
And I can’t forget anyway
Your lips that are beautiful in the way
Like roses on a sunny day!

But that beauty of yours outside
Only proves your beauty inside
That maybe only I
Could see at the first sight:
But when you smile —
The sun shines brightly,
And everything seems alive around!
When you are sad —
It rains,
And no beat of my heart can be found!
When you are angry —
It thunders and lightning strikes the ground!
But even in anger you are beautiful
Because it’s you and only you!

In the world you are the only one;
Your beauty outshines everyone;
You are wonderful, clever and fun!
But I fell in love with you not for anything,
But just like that
Because you are!
And I need only you,
You and only you!
