Only To Keep You

Something I stood on, without remorse
Trampled on your ability, your natural elation.

For a past I regreted, the harm in your life
Now I hope the contention remains.

Your showcase a lie, in private your weak
My fault from childhood, keeping me able.

Selfish and jealous I will stay, until we become one again.

No longer the beast who crushed your soul
The only one who can return your vigor.

In my desperation, i hope fears hold
Conserve your touch, abide with me.

Keep your pain from yesterday, Until we become one again.
