Now, we face a cascade of shadows, Rife with seasonings, of pain, and sorrow, Whimsy notions occupy our minds About entanglements with the cheat of life; By gorging on the scraps from life’s table, He lies, propelled by each zephyr’s motion, A victim of his own volition;
