Only One True Love
There is only one true love I've held
perfect in form and temperament
where passion gathered our soul
with the lifeblood of hope and desire
that lay beneath our feet as a path to follow
using heartbeats as a compass
to guide us to the fragrant realms
of earthly scents
that rose on the breath of our yearning
and claimed the most precious moment
when love arrived dressed in a glorious glow
of emotional enchantment and sublime serenity
to water the eyes with welcomed warmth
revealing the true nature of love's luxurious luster
found glowing in magical gardens
laden with sensual sighs blooming within
as we walked in the meadow of dreams
filled with purple asters
finding our reflection in the dewdrops
covering the petals drenched in morning mist
a mirror of glittering light from a rising sun
allowing our dreams to wander in wonderous wonder
from the beauty we felt encasing us, capturing us
in a net of wonderful wishes
that led us towards the tender tranquility
of the shared love in our dreams
