~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When the stars send their gentle glow, whispering
winking, flirting with the shadows cast over the night’s sky
breaking through the horizon – strewn haphazardly
sometimes so careful to rip a wish from lips, moistened by music
who weeps beyond the pines, the willows, the forest
where burgundy leaves and silence, peace – rises,
willing the light to stir up lyrics of joy and grace,
murmuring soundlessly, in the still of a cool mountain morn
where the faded stories are told and retold,
stories of life beyond the grave
stories of hope that will surely save.
When the leaves dance, trembling in rhymes of laughing
coloring the heart in a satiny silence,
I know, oh – I surely know
only love will flow, flowing on and on
through the tenderness of a kiss
through the intimacy of yesterday’s wish
through the sentiments of a garden’s quiet, still
like the heart who sees through the pain
a love that knows…
grace brings awake
the stirrings of a spirit, a faith
who is as alive as the sentiments
beneath a voice who sings
remnants of light, shining all through the song
impressing the heart, the soul, the hope
that feeds me music created in silent rooms
rooms for stars, and sun, and reflections
on the memories that love has known
oh, only love can know…
when all is said and done, it is His love that stuns!
