Only Love

Do I find in you what I’ve sought for so long?
And in my hands, does your future belong?
I never imagined our paths would entwine,
While waiting for life to give me a sign.
As new seeds are sprouting, my season is through,
I’m finishing my part to make way for you.
?But this is your moment, your day in the sun,
Since my race is over, and yours has begun.
On this journey of ours, where no others have gone,
I’ll be your protector from this moment on.
?I’ll keep you in prayer. My one and only.
