Only a Season
Only A Season
Written: by Miracle Man

Each spring, buds give birth to leaves,
and wind whipped leaves,
provided nourishment for the tree.
Along with food, shelter, shade, protection for that which sought it.
But now the green season is over.
Leaves of autumn, now released, seem to float,
gravity impelled, toward their final resting place.
A place of stillness and decay.
Not so unlike the life of man.
