Only a Memory

ONLY A MEMORY

Romance has filled my heart
With thoughts of you today
You’re so very far away,
I long for your sweet touch
Upon my cheek as we walk
Next to the beauty of the beach
The salt air gentle breeze
Fill my being with your scent
I see you smile
As new places we explore,
Together on the shore
My heart leaps within me
But alas I once again
Open my eyes to see,
It’s only a memory.

ps. Carmen, I just noticed below here that you are responding to people right here. I think you may have learned by now but you click on their names and that brings you to one of their poems which you, in turn , respond to. I am sure you have done that with me at least once. Just to let you know. I tried doing the same thing once and I doubt they ever saw my message. hahaha. LUv, andrea
