Only a Glimpse
Tis only but a glimpse I seek
Such beauty has never been found
A mere gem for one to behold
Your purpose, to simply astound
A temptress who casts her spell
On every heart that's near
Forever enslaved as your prisoner
But not worthy of your love, I fear
For I am but only a simple man
And you, a vision of grace
Unworthy of your attention
I bow my head in disgrace
So pass me by oh beautiful pearl
And dare not look my way
My heart cannot bear your rejection
So look not on me, I pray
'Twas only but a glimpse I sought
Enough to quench my thirst
But I drank of your beauty, too much I fear
Til my heart will surely burst
