Only
I have traveled many miles
Only to find I have gotten no where.
I have wandered many roads
Only to find I am where I started.
I have wished upon many stars
Only to find wishes don’t come true.
I still smile. I still try.
I have stared upon fierce rising seas
Only to find tranquility in its depths.
I have stared into the setting bright sun
Only to see that it rises again and again
I have felt strong winds upon my face
Only to see that it was natures work.
I still smile, only because of you.
