Online meeting They are easy and convenient, some say, They are cumbersome, I say, The struggle to get up and be on time: still there, The struggle to look good and professional: yes, it’s there, The worst is to sound serious and engaged. When the family is tip toeing around flashing wry smiles. Each second is an hour! On video, I become conscious of how old I have become: The pain of looking tired, the pain of being tired - immense and they, Take over all other powers of reasoning. Yet, I try to sound interested and even crack a joke saying that it all ended too soon. After the meeting, I am directly transferred to a setting where expectations of the family flying high. They have been waiting just as much I did, for my meeting to end But none of them want to hear what happened at the meeting So, they avoid the discussion like plague I am stuck in between two worlds.
