One-Sided

One word.
Two syllables.
Have you ever felt it?
Earthshattering,
Stabbing,
Crumbling,
Pain.
I'm not sure if it ever gets fully gets better.
Burning lungs.
Swollen eyes.
Scratchy throat.
Ache from head to toe.
Barely eat.
Barely feel.
Barely think.
Heartbreak.
It's always one-sided.
