Oneself

If a man canst know his heart
can he walk amongst the sullen shadows
as the river that doth part-

Hidden within the river of hidden memories
piety of a soul that always sees
to live within the valley of oneself
is to always be so free-

Man cannot see the oceans
or the recesses of hidden time
he knows not each moment given unto death
or the whispers upon the withered roses breath-

So this hour gives us life
and this life given unto me
hold my hand within the storm
and we will dance upon the raging sea-
