One With the Elements

The sun’s rays pounded down on my skin
The pool glittered in my desperate search for hydration
I dipped my impermeable skin in the crystal clear water
I watched my reflection stare back at me

The crystallization of her eyes
The invigorating beads creeping to my elbows
The lost look in her eyes, dreaming of submerging
I watched my reflection stare back at me

This sweltering day, a challenge is faced
I chased my reflection with a slip and a splash
Raindrops hit my face, a requisite
I felt one with precipitation
