One Tree In the Forest

i often walk in the woods
pause to see a specific tree
individuals exist within the whole
but only if we take the time to see

a moment is all it takes
minute details usually unobserved
from a coarse coat of layered bark
to identifying shapes of the leaves

the twist of a certain branch
beckons and calls to me
much like an unknown poem
i feel compelled to read

i take this precious moment
each small detail frozen in my mind
and i only hope to capture
the uniqueness of a single tree

despite the surrounding forest

It's wonderful that you captured the image and description of a tree. :)
