One Time Too Many- Senryu Strings Ii

One time too many
maximum number of hits
heart in rebellion

Keep your own baggage
I can hardly carry mine
help me don't harm me

No way to go back
Heart in hibernation mode
Sweet oblivion

These are very good to read from you, Eileen. Tinged with sadness. I like that kind!

There is a lot of sadness in this one, Andrea. I can't figure things out sometimes. miscommunication is such a pain. When you're a sensitive soul, well, it can be torture. Take care of you!

A mate for life is suppose to be the person who helps one work through the baggage and get their life on track but it mostly works the other way and that special person hurts and adds more baggage to the mate's life..Enjoyed reading your string..Sara

Ah, how beautiful is to come out of hibernation and find yourself in Spring time: Fresh, invigorated, enthusiastic and starting life anew with no baggage and a liberated heart! Excellent writing! Wait for the spring, it may come at any moment!

Hi, Maurice. Senryu is like haiku but the theme is on life lessons and not nature...for what I understand. Thank you for your visit to me. I need I tonight as I'm a bit low.

These are very effective, I van relate. For me sleep is my hibernation mode, things really do look better in the morning.

The exhaustion of a heart, lost patience, too many bruises, I know this too Eileen. Every time I try to tuck my heart to sleep, it cries, yells, and fights to taste more battle, more love.My heart is a light sleeper, I guess my heart can sleep when its dead : ) Justin

May that be far from you, Justin. May your heart keep beating a happy tune of love and fulfillment. It's good that it is a light sleeper. You never know when it will be awakened by a seeker for your goodness.

I love all your three senryu but my favourite is the second one-Sad but guess life has to have its sad moments to make us appreciate that sweet oblivion in tomorrow.Love love them.

Yes, dear. Sadness is part of life. Can't live without the other. I've had my share....of both. I just wish the happy would outweigh the sad. Hugs to you. You bring me happy thoughts.

Dear Eileen, It's so sad to think of a heart in "hibernation mode," but I'm right there with you. The middle verse is amazing. Indeed, "Keep your own baggage." People want mates who are baggage-free, but they carry a lot of their woes with them wherever they go. Excellent poem! Love, Carolyn

We all have baggage, dear Carolyn. We all do. We just hurt others when we project our baggage unto them. I know I do that sometimes....It's sad. Love covers it all, I guess. I can never be in hibernation mode. Not with someone I care about. Thanks for the visit!
