One Thousand Miles In Slow Motion

My rib cage is caving in.
And my head begins to spin.
Losing my ground.
Starting to slip.
My heart rhythmically starts to pound.
The reality lines rip.
Bleeding at the ears.
Rejoicing in my fallen fears.
There is ice in my veins.
Pumping solid and proud.
Eyes run in all the wrong lanes.
My voice obnoxious and too loud.
And as soon as my pulse yields.
I'm assured that I will once again be fine.
Safe inside the imaginary fields.
No longer forced to stay within the line.
Teeth rattle and shatter.
Trying to keep up with all the chatter.
My hands pinned down at my sides.
Nails feeling blood.
Reciever of all the broken prides.
Emotions can come on like a flood.
