One Star Lit Night
Curtains blown open on a star lit night,
while crickets keep time to a song in my mind.
There's a shadow down the hall hidden from sight,
like something I've lost that I wish I could find.
The rustling of leaves from a soft summer breeze,
whispers the freedom you seek is at your command.
I would open that door if I just held the keys
and see what lies waiting in Time's withered hands.
