One Small Tear

One Small Tear One small tear was seen to fall from the beautiful eye of that most beautiful Queen Sharalee Lorelei This tear slowly fell from her cheek & as it did so it became a perfectly perfect & most shimmering white pearl This pearl slowly fell into the outsretched hand of SailorGirl who quickly placed it into the velvet pouch which she protected that Bracelet of the Sun within Thus preserving it for all time to come . It is said in these legends that this beautiful pearl became the first of all the pearls of the seas... & that SailorGirl had removed it from her velvet pouch one day & placed it gently into the sea That from that day forward any tear from any Princess became yet another pearl & another & another filling the seas with such beauty that no sort of sadness could ever harm anyone ever again. I will FAV this one for certain; you've already been FAVed as a poet on here. This is something I would read to anyone, just because it is a delightful faerie tale for anyone to read! Absolutely beautiful!!! Always, Laura

Hey Caribbean SeaWolf, There you've been on my favorites list forever, but when I saw the latest dates, I figured I must already have read them. Can't believe I almost missed such a pearl of excellence. Your world of fantasy (?) makes me grateful for empty velvet purses. love, Kathy

Thanx kindly, Kathryn Collins... but so as not to mislead... this particular rime, as well as a few others I've posted herein, are excerpts from a fairy tale I penned over the 12 or so days of Christmas many years ago while swinging at anchor off Boca Chica Key... it began as a dare, sort of, to write something more than a few rimes and little tales. It became 21 chapters in all.... and there are lots of rimes within it as silly as it may be... but it is designed for children.. of all ages. and includes no violence, destruction, death or evil of any sort... while chances a'plenty for such may be found within the tale... somehow, in some way they never materialize into anything other than pleazures found. I'd post it here ... but have thought this forum had no provision for such.
