One Red Light
You kiss me at the door
Your eyes say good bye
As I walk away
Before the morning light
A long drive a head
One light
And it’s red
Just a turn and a stop up the road
Take me to
My other home
Live stock gets fed
As I amble through my day
Doing the things that I do
Finding ways to keep entertained
Till its over
And I head back to you
Take me to
My other home
Just a stop and a turn up the road
One light
And it’s red
A long drive a head
Two masters can test a mans soul
Family, love, earth, mud
Can top a bottomless pit
A welcome sight
The bright porch light
And inside your eyes wait for me.
Knowing tomorrow again
The day will start with a kiss
As I walk away
From your adoring light
