One Piece of Jewelry
I turned the delicate opal around in my hand
She reminded me of my moonstones
As I searched for them, I remembered other pieces of jewelry.
That I once loved.
Where were they?
I have a weird feeling that I put them in a safe place.
So safe I may never find them again.
Did I use hanging pockets that you hide in closets under heavy coats?
I have given lots of coats away on hangers.
I have a strange sick feeling.
My emerald bracelet and matching rings, amber pendant with the beautiful shadow.
My ruby ring with the yellow topaz.
All missing.
Maybe gone forever.
One bit of hope.
I have not looked through everything.
Yet.
