One of Those Dreams

you're sitting across from this beautiful girl.
look at her face, all of her creases.

oh god, she is so beautiful.

you sit across and your stomach's in knots.
time passes and you notice her lips.
tulips in a field of golden roses.

look up, her mind is somewhere else.

you are sitting across from this most beautiful creature
and suddenly you are certain other worlds exist.
if not in the sky, then in the way she's batting her eyes.

you are certain there is something more,
then you give a gentle snore
and realize it was just one of those dreams.
