Facts about Popcorn:
Popcorn is high in several important nutrients, such as vitamins, minerals and polyphenol antioxidants. Not only that, but it is also incredibly tasty and one of the world’s best sources of fiber. At the end of the day, popcorn is very healthy and consuming it in moderation may even help with weight loss. Also (this was discussed in another article), it won't harm you if you are light on the salt and don't use saturated fats on it)

I’ve always been a foodie.
So many foods do I love,
but there’s got to be just one
I never get enough of.
It’s popular as a snack.
It can be salty or sweet.
Do you think you know by now?
Big hint: It’s a movie treat.
Popcorn, beloved popcorn -
what a wonder of a food.
To eat it when offered me
I’ll always be in the mood
To think those tiny kernels
turn into puffs big and white
simply by heating them up -
it’s a popping great delight.
This low-cost treat of my childhood
we’d eat while watching TV
turned me into an addict
as loony as I can be.
If popcorn I plan to have,
little I’ll eat through the day.
My calories I save for it.
I make it often this way:
In olive oil I cook it.
Then I add to it the salt.
My blood pressure stays good,
so salt makes a big assault!
It is pink Himalyana,
garlic, or lemon or sea.
Butter I try to avoid
though it tastes so good to me.
Sometimes I hot air pop it.
Then butter I can add on.
A giant bowl of it I eat
until it’s totally gone.
Munching on popcorn slowly
can take me two hours long.
No liquor do I need nor
use of a cannabis bong!
I’m no addict to something
that’s damaging to the brain.
If popcorn were denied me though,
I might go a bit insane!
Cheesy popcorn – not healthful -
I’ll have once in a blue moon.
Caramel or Italian style
with parmeson make me swoon.
At least once or twice a week
at my stove I’ll be popping
Native Americans’ gold.
My quirk I’ll not be dropping.
