One Nightstand

One nightstand He wasn't your man Now you hold his daughter In your lonesome hands Embarrassed So you kept it all to yourself Raising the baby without the father no help When she asks about daddy What do you say? I didn't know your father that well It was just one night and pleasure filled Between the alcohol sex, you did not catch any disease You're lucky You want to approach him But He has moved on with his life The costly price you pay for one night Not much thinking With sex and drinking Next time you decide to drink heavily For a one night, infidelity Think about your baby Who is left alone to raise thee

Oh, my, this is a poem that speaks volumes. And the baby is often the ones who raises the parent for sure.
