Heidi Sands Poet Free verse

One Nation Under God

I picked a daisy and touched the petals brought by God,
Alongside of the mountain
Where I could see all the views of God's creation
I will not be a fool!
I will not fall with what is cast upon me
I will yell from the mountain top
We are One Nation Under God!

I think, however, that nonbelievers are predisposed not to see God, and that they might only hear -- maybe -- that 'still small voice' within them...
