One Nation
We used to be one nation,
Under god or one the like,
Until we let sensation,
Turn predation into spite…
Republicans or democrats,
It all amounts the same,
Bi-partisan aristocrats,
Still playing the same game…
Religion or a birth right,
Idealism at its core,
Without a hint of hindsight,
Lost in lessons from before….
Turning on each other,
So the one who takes a stand,
Can crucify your brother,
With constituents’ in hand…
Of and by the people,
What our government should be,
Not sheep left by the steeple,
So the wolves can eat for free…
