One More Day

I won’t dream in circles next to you And before I wake I’ll pray That for me you’ll stay one more day, Just one more you’ll stay with me. Colors and shapes of every size Form behind my wavered eyes. You breathe slow and hold my face; I drift off, lost in grace. Before I go to make my way; With a longing kiss I’ll silently pray You’ll hold me close and ask me to stay, You’ll ask of just one more day with me, One more day you’ll ask me to stay, with you. I know that we can’t lay here forever, But all I want is one more day, one more day together.
