One More Chance
A beautiful morning it was, the sun itself sang out to the world, giving off much warmth
A few clouds were seen far off into the horizon, not a single tears from the sky fell
Windy yet a peaceful soothing breeze swept across his face, was he sobbing he couldn't tell
He spoke unto The Lord seeking his mercy, crying out his eyes for aid
Traffic lights evolved from red to a life full green
A prayer answered, such sight, unlike anything he had ever seen
Billboards spoke out in signs ofcourse, a facinating message, for it yelled out art
Right there and then he knew the outcome might be somewhat positive, a feeling that fortified his heart
Bulky and unpleasent, the knott that sat upon his throat
Sweety palms, shaky vision, anxiety arose beyond reasonable limits
He paused to his own will
He had to speak, word by word he spoke of his plan, and hope stood still
He questioned the heavens themselves, seeing himself dry of speech
Begging his soul, pleaing for a third opportunity, to make things right
As he spoke his heart took flight
A powerful feeling struck his eyes for fear would not let him breech
"Father" he spoke out into the emptyness, will You deliver me from this strife
Again and again he asked for aid, for a sign of hope
Slightly letting go, short ran the rope
He firmly stood, strongly speaking, asking for a chance
