One Moment In Time

Oh Man I greive for your loss
What we think is forever
Is but a moment in time.
Years go by quickly and we say
Where has it all gone.
A moment in time is all we are given,
When it ends our hearts are riven
In twain with shock and pain
Memories come like falling rain.
All we can do is to stand and watch
As a life slips slowly away
Helpless we are in such a play
Unable to bring back that which has gone.
Listening with sadness a favourite song
Thoughts drifting back to a particular
Moment in time dancing and laughing
What felt like years since past
Is only a speck in the celestial void.
Fair it isn’t to those that are left
With pain and disbelief in their soul
Look around at a word spoken
It isn’t who you thought leaving you broken.
A moment in time with one fell swoop
Changed forever as the world spins on
Standing still in a fixed moment
Words to say now unspoken
lost in the ether in universe wide
time still ticks on quest never ending
only with us lives stop now
going on in a daze not comprehending
numb in heart frozen in mind
one day brother an answer you,ll find.
