One Minute to Meltdown

 	Leisure suits and cowboy boots
           Hawaiian shirts, wrap-around shades

        Returning to Burt Reynolds roots
           Wrestling gators in the Everglades

All hail the lion, scarecrow, Dorothy too
           Wizard’s serving Tinman stew

Lois Lane and Jimmy Olson fell in line
            Will Superman arrive in time

That was entertaining. I think I got all the references! I hope you are not going to meltdown! I'm still thinking about that stew situation.

We have to believe that the good guy will always arrive to defuse the bomb with just two seconds left on the clock.

Hello Gershon, You’ve packed so much playful nostalgia into this one. It all moves with that signature G-energy: quick, clever, and just a little surreal. A fun, spirited ride, my friend. Warm blessings, Gershon Daniel

This poem reminds me of lost eras that seemed much more carefree and fun. It seems like there's a new crisis in our country every month. I hope that Superman shows up soon.
