One Minute Past Midnight

Everything is crypt
she speaks darkness
everything loses shape
everything makes sounds

Her eyes are closed
her body only breath
my heart seeks her
only desire has her

We are tangled limbs
when the sun rises
they will be twined
everything darkness

Shadow and unshadow
wars over her body
a tower of fire am I
lying next to her

I watch her breathe
lips swollen rivers
outside the full moon
among a song of stars...
