Colors of my heart, do you not see My communication weakness, my virtuosity To fetch run and carry each and every day To behold and please you for eternity Yet all I ask is to be understood Accepted, loved and all in me that is good I am not so different from you as you would appear I seem I am one alone, part of you, a team Take away the shackles, the tethers, running free Remove the obstacles that separate you from me Clear your vision through the mistiness and fog I am me, alive, a being, not just a domestic dog Care for me as I care for you We will help each other through
