One Last Time

One last time, I want your eyes to steal my heart away
The light within them always shown me the path astray
Taking my hand in yours, leading me to this perfect life
Showing me the end to the painful sting of unjust strife

One last time, I crave your touch of warmth in the night
Caressing your lips with mine under the moon in delight
Creating a love unmatched, one so beautiful of its kind
I have become a new man, with a soul pure and refined

One last time, I desire your voice to whisper in the wind
Forgiving me for all my wrongs, all those times I sinned
Breathing a life into me that kept me soaring in the skies
Beckoning me to gaze into you, to get lost in those eyes

One last time, I have come to you in this peaceful place
Inside I feel that loving smile spread wide on your face
I miss you every day, embracing this grief forever here
To this day I still love you, that will always be, my dear

One last time, I will take this final breath in with a smile
At last, we will be reunited once more after a long while
Now I look forward to us again being that perfect rhyme
My eyes close, and a sigh escapes my lips...one last time
