One Last Tear Shed

I can still see your smile, at work,
At school, in my rearview,
While you sat in my backseat making promises
You couldn't keep.

I can still hear the laughter
As I was told of your death,
The disbelief I had, so real
Til I found out how you took your final breath.

I shed some tears but deep down I knew
A happier place was given to you
Ours left a little sadder after we lost you
Because dudes like you are hard to come across.

You left joy and happiness wherever you went
You couldn't find it yourself though
The world doesn't understand what it's missing,
Cause it denied happiness to a guy so cool.
