One Hundred Yesterdays Ago
You should have told me
One hundred yesterdays ago,
You wished
No committment,
No
We!
You should have told me
One hundred yesterdays ago,
Your kisses
Had no meaning...
Your arms,
Shackles to enslave
Passion only.
Oh, if you had only told me,
One hundred yesterdays ago,
To believe nothing
Of what you said,
Nothing of what you did.
I would have laughed less
When we were together;
Not held your hand so tight.
Would not have turned the pockets
Of my heart inside out, so there
Would be no clutter, of other loves
Long passed.
OH!
OH!
You should have told me,
One hundred
Yesterdays
Ago!
