One Hundred Candles On My Cake
One hundred candles on my
cake
One hundred wrinkles on my
face
One hundred years I've been
awake
As I look upon this blaze
Of one hundred candles on my
cake
I think to myself of all my days
I've learned so much from past
mistakes
My eyes have seen such joy
and rage
Such love and hate
I contemplate all I've known in
all my days. One hundred
lessons per candle on my cake.
I have rested, and how I've
played!
I've stood in shadows
And been center stage
Looking back I smile at all my
days
That brought me to this golden
age
With the heat of the roaring
blaze
Of one hundred candles on my
cake
Against the hundred wrinkles
on my face
Celebrating the hundred years
ive been awake
With no regrets of the life I've
made
I know the beauty of a turning
page
I close my eyes, and face the
flame
And blow out one hundred
candles on my cake!
