The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

One foot

Suicide
Trauma
Death
Grief
Numbness
Solitude
Waves of emotion
Hurdles to jump
Mountains to scale
Healing? Doesn't seem possible

How do I live in the midst of this turmoil?

My answer so far is accept help, hugs, comfort, basic necessities
and put one foot in front of the other

One minute, one step at a time

Well written Kathleen. The last line sums up your powerful poem nicely. It is good you have poetry and prayers to help you.
