One Fantasy
As I lay here before slumber sweeps into my head this night.
Thoughts of my fantasy dreams pondered of picturesque flight.
Within the daylight hours my fears of climbing and height,
Betray me as I walk the rounds of my trade, in everyone’s sight.
However, at night when I recall, I fly so brave and stout.
Flying among the clouds, my voice screams in shout.
To the onlookers below that are amazed of my clout.
Up. Up and away, to the stars and all the planets about,
These reoccurring dreams have become a fantasy of mine.
Now even in daylight my mind seeks the power to define.
I surmise if I could just get high in the sky, and combine,
Will power within the spirit I possess, all would be fine
My fantasy of soaring among the city towers would be real.
Along with being elevated above the green valleys surreal.
Floating along side the many birds and the wind, they steal.
Gloriously visiting the mountaintops with outlandish skill,
To see the world by this magical deed is just one fantasy.
To be blessed with this immortal power, would be ecstasy.
