One Day You'Ll Wake Up

One day you'll wake up and realise I was the right man for you
You'll understand that I had the right plans for you
You told me I'm not good enough for you, so you're someone I've got to forget
One day you'll wake up with so much regret

I offered you my heart, time and effort, I thought that would be enough
I thought that was all a girl would need to be satisfied
I did everything to make you smile, you left me with cuts
You killed my heart, so I'm here living my afterlife

Poison by Alice Cooper is so relatable right now
I gave you the rope and told you i was ready to be tied down
You cut the rope, then stabbed me in the heart and left me to die
You threw the towel in and left me out to dry

I was your shoulder and bandage when you needed to cry or were hurt
I held your hand through the storm, and gave you encouraging words
But you acted like I did nothing, and showed no respect to me
I should have listened when people said you didn't deserve the best of me

One day you'll wake up and realise where you went wrong
It's already too late because my love has already gone
One day you'll wake up and see that you should have treated me right
One day you'll wake up and it'll break your heart to see me happy with a wife
