One Day
She says she's "protecting her from me letting her down"
But shes only depriving her of a father that tries
I just hope shes not filling her head with a bunch of lies
I can only pray that one day she lets go of the past
& allows a future for me and my daughter
Because I can't imagine a life without her
I know this won't last forever
Because in my pain i found faith
& without faith I am lost
If I'm lost there's nothing to gain
Can't go through this all again
But why do these tears fall from my face
Because theres a loss of time we can't replace
But thats how I found the will & the strength
To stand back up & restore my life
To a time when I had the right
To keep my little girls in my sight
And they didnt have to hear us fight
She says she's "protecting her from me letting her down"
But shes only killing me & hoping I drown...
